Shalee Horstman holds a BA in Dance Education from Florida International University, an MA in Movement Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths College, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Somatic Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is certified to provide Child and Family Investigator (CFI) services and is a Certified Yoga Instructor. Shalee is a professional member of four associations: American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA), Colorado Association of Psychotherapists (CAP), Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee (MDIC), and Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy United Kingdom (ADMPUK).
Shalee has experience working with children with autism, down syndrome and emotional/behavioral difficulties. She has also worked with adults with schizophrenia, borderline personality disorders, depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, bipolar disorder, homelessness, trauma, and offending behaviors in a multitude of settings. Shalee has worked with people from all over the world. This diverse experience has provided her with the ability to be sensitive to cultural, national, and religious views.
